Saint Joseph School has a computer lab with 30 computers that accommodates an entire class. Every computer in the lab is new for the 2013-2014 school year. The lab has internet access, a network drive, and a SMART Board. We also have a mobile laptop computer cart that has 22 computers. Since 2013-2014, we have had two mobile iPad carts, too! In 2016-2017, we added an iPad center of five units in each major classroom. We also have at least two computers for teacher and student availability in each classroom. Additionally, in the library we have six networked computers, and in the science lab we have six networked computers as well. In the school, we have 18 installed SMART Boards and projectors that provide students with interactive activities. Our school has a local area network that can be accessed anywhere in the building. We provide an annual technology in-service to educate teachers. The technology curriculum is in accordance with the Pennsylvania Technology Standards. We also have 15 digital cameras and one video camera for use in the classroom. Our website provides important information about events and happenings in the classroom. Saint Joseph School has a full-time Technology Director who maintains the school environment.

In computer classes, Grades K-8 receive weekly lessons in computer applications/web-based activities, 21st-Century skills and/or keyboarding. The computer teacher reinforces content that is presented in classroom curriculum. Classroom teachers have use of SMART Boards and may bring their classes to the computer lab or work in their classrooms with the mobile computer cart.
