Job Posting: Librarian

Saint Joseph School in Mechanicsburg is seeking a part-time Librarian. The position will be 3 days a week, Monday – Wednesday.

  • Candidates are expected to uphold the values of the Catholic Church and Saint Joseph School.
    • Qualified candidates possess a must possess:
      o Minimum of an Associate’s degree
      o Preferred – Experience with automated circulation/catalog systems and electronic databases preferred
      o Preferred – Valid PA librarian or learning resources specialist certificate or endorsement
      o Clearances and Pastor’s Recommendation

This position requires the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Also, candidates must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with student, staff, parents and the community. Supervise and manage the school library. Provide services and resources that allow students to develop skills in locating, evaluating, synthesizing and using information. Serve as teacher, resource expert, and curriculum advisor to involve the library in the instructional programs of the school.

Candidates must be in compliance with PA State clearance requirements and should be a Catholic in good standing.

Job Posting: Aides for Early Learning Program

The Early Learning Program at Saint Joseph School has openings for aides for the 2018-2019 school year. Morning and late afternoon hours are available. Aides work with preschool-aged children by supervising and assisting them with activities, lessons, lunch, and play time, and provide support to the director, as needed. Patience and mobility are required for these positions.

Applicants will need to complete several clearances from the Diocese of Harrisburg upon offer of employment.
