Dear Friends in the Lord Jesus,
It is a pleasure to welcome you to Saint Joseph Catholic School! Our school first opened its doors in 1952. We were blessed to have the School Sisters of Notre Dame, and then the Sisters of Saints Cyril and Methodius, until 2011. From these humble and faith-filled beginnings to this very day, under the very capable leadership of Mrs. Bamberger, our Principal, and our present faculty and administration, the presence of Our Lord Jesus has been visible in so many ways throughout the corridors of our school. It is the love of God and the sacrifice of time, talents, and treasures of all those involved in our Mission of Education that have made Saint Joseph School the vibrant Life Center it is today.
Saint Joseph School is dedicated to caring for the young people in grades Pre-K through 8 of Saints Elizabeth Ann Seton and Katharine Drexel Parishes, as well as other children whose parents find in our school the values that they hold important as their children progress through their formative years. Our goal is simply to incorporate the Gospel into a most worthwhile learning environment and to pass on to our younger followers of Jesus our own deep love of the Lord Jesus Christ as we help them, and you, their parents, to make that vital commitment to His Church. We integrate the teachings, traditions, virtues, and values of our Catholic faith into the spiritual, intellectual, social, and physical development of the students entrusted into our care.
With our academically rigorous, nurturing, and joy-filled environment, we strive to incorporate the most current technology and make provisions for our students’ diverse learning needs. We encourage all students to achieve their full God-given potential by actively participating and professing our faith through compassion and respect for Him, others, and themselves; all while finding a passion for learning. With this faith-foundation and passion for excellence, our students will then make an enormous difference in our world, as witnesses for our Lord Jesus Christ and His Church.
Please join me in thanking Our Loving God for the many graces He always bestows upon our school family. May we continue to seek the powerful intercession of our Patron, Saint Joseph, and Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, Patron of Catholic Schools, and Saint Katharine Drexel, Patron of the Racially Oppressed and of Philanthropists, with the same faith, trust, and loyal generosity as did those who have been educated and formed here at Saint Joseph Catholic School.
May God bless you always.
Rev. Thomas J. Rozman, Pastor
Like our Patron Saint Joseph, the Husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we are called to foster the presence of Christ in all that we say and do. Our mission is to grow disciples for the Lord Jesus Christ.
